BioIn the Beginning:
On a cold winter’s night, Kyuusaku Natsume fled from his wife’s mansion with their son Ryuunosuke. His wife, the heir to Mishima Heavy Industries which specified in mechanics and robotic equipment, had supported Kyuusaku in his attempt to create the perfect robot body. Kyuusaku had succeeded, but as soon as he realized that he had been supported so that the robot could be used for war purposes, he escaped in the old jeep with the robot body and his son.
When Ryuunosuke had to go to the bathroom, his father had stopped to let the boy run into an alley quickly. As he was doing so, he heard the strangest noise, and looked behind him to see that a cat meowed at him from inside a trashcan. As soon as he noticed the cat, his father called him. Ryuunosuke returned to the jeep with the cat in hopes that he could keep it, but Kyuusaku said no. Just as he said no, two women in a hovering machine came chasing after them to bring the three back. Kyuusaku pulled boy and cat into the jeep and went off.
In an attempt to lose the two women and escape, Kyuusaku quickly pulled into a junk car lot. He was going at such a fast speed that he was unable to dodge the large pile of cars, and the jeep went crashing into it. It was hidden in the pile of cars, and thanks to Ryuunosuke protecting the cat, it was saved. However, the woman behind the wheel of the machine became stressed and shot at the pile she knew the three were in. Soon the women left the father, his son and their sudden new pet alone.
Kyuusaku pushed aside junk to climb out of the window of the jeep. He heard his son crying, and looked inside to see what he was crying about. Ryuunosuke turned around to show him that the cat had been shot when the women shot at them, and was unable to be saved. Kyuusaku felt horrible and guilty, and wished he could do something. He turned to look at the back of the jeep where the robot body lay, and though, ‘It just might work!’ When he looked at his son again, Kyuusaku announced that he would be giving him the best Christmas present ever!
AND THUS Nuku Nuku was born! Despite looking human, she has the brain of a feline and the body rivaling that of a demon’s in strength and speed. She’s stubborn, tough and never gives up. She’s a dangerous enemy!
So her name is Nuku Nuku?
Atsuko Natsume is her human name, but her nickname is Nuku Nuku. How did this come to be?
Nuku Nuku’s body’s serial number is NK-1124, and from that number the name Nuku Nuku has been taken.
What is an android?
An android is a robot made to resemble a human, usually both in appearance and behavior. The word derives from the Greek andr-, " meaning "man, male", and the suffix -eides, used to mean "of the species; alike" (from eidos "species").
Nuku Nuku, however, is an android with a body made for war. Because she was designed for war-like purposes, she is very, very strong and can take many, many hits without being destroyed. Low temperatures of fire, such as the flames of a burning home, do not damage her body, and most electric currents are unable to short-circuit her. If the current is strong enough, she will lose control of some body parts, but for the most part she is hardly destructible.
Nuku Nuku is also swift and fast, and has no problem racing a cheetah or an inhuman being. Some beings will definitely be faster than her, but next to a human, she is definitely faster and can beat any in a race.
As human-looking as Nuku Nuku is, she has a second pair of ‘ears’ that helps her to do a number of things. Her body lacks a lot of proper physical feeling, so her ears aid her in figuring out the temperatures of her surroundings. She also figures out temperatures by “tasting” the air like a snake.
The weight of her body makes her unable to swim in water that is deeper than she is tall, so she has to put on an addition to her body so that she can swim.
Personality-wise:
Nuku Nuku is kind and naïve, and has a lot to learn about the life of a human. She will offer food to anyone who needs it, and has no problem with allowing someone to stay in her home if it’s a chilly night, and will offer her bed to the guest. She will sleep on the floor instead.
Nuku Nuku lives to serve people, and loves to do good things for other people. She lives to be praised for all of her good services, and to be scolded for her poor jobs so that she can get better at things.
She is distracted by cute and furry, fuzzy things, as well as things shiny, and giving her catnip will give her a high that no one really wants to see.
Hard-working, honest and very friendly, Nuku Nuku is the perfect friend for any lonely fellow!
Family tree:
While she was a cat, Nuku Nuku had many siblings, as well as a mother. After an unfortunate accident where her mother was hit by a car, the kittens went their separate ways, and she has yet to come across any.
In her human family, Nuku Nuku has Kyuusaku Natsume, whom she refers to as Papa-san because he is just that: her father!
Her little brother, who doubles as a human life teacher and her owner, is Ryuunosuke Natsume, the crazy inventor’s son who found Nuku Nuku in the trashcan.
Akiko Natsume, wife of Kyuusaku and mother to Ryuunosuke, is the woman whose father is the owner of Mishima Heavy Industries. She is the woman who always sends her peons Kyouko and Arisa in large robots and such to bring at least Ryuunosuke back. They always fail, however, because Nuku Nuku destroys them.
Rivals:
Eimi and Nuku Nuku are rivals, though Eimi is the only one who truly believes that. Eimi is another android, but is not the owner of the seemingly flawless body that Nuku Nuku possesses. After a while of fighting, Eimi’s body overheats and she short-circuits; it takes her a while before she can pick herself up and work perfectly again.
Because of this, Eimi has made it her job to defeat Nuku Nuku and take her body for her own. Eimi often attacks Nuku Nuku when she least expects it, and that frustrates Nuku Nuku.
Kyouko and Arisa work for Akiko and have for years; the two are best friends and are hardly ever seen apart. They even live together! Akiko forces them to go on missions in their mechas and such to take down Nuku Nuku and bring back Ryuunosuke so that Akiko doesn’t spazz so much. They always fail.
